Dr. A.J. Valenson

Board-certified interventional radiologist Dr. A.J. Valenson is dedicated to making exceptional endovascular care accessible to diverse communities. His fluency in Spanish helps him understand and appreciate the cultural nuances and specific healthcare challenges these communities may face. He values building strong relationships with his patients and takes the time to hear their concerns and answer any questions they may have.

Sarah Applegate, Physician Assistant

Meet Sarah Applegate, a devoted Houston native and seasoned physician assistant with over ten years of expertise in vascular treatment.

Sarah's academic journey is marked by excellence, holding a bachelor's degree in Nutritional Sciences from Texas A&M University and a master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Baylor College of Medicine.

After completing her studies at Baylor, Sarah spent two years in internal medicine before transitioning her focus to vascular and interventional radiology, demonstrating her commitment to specialized care.

Residing in Katy with her husband, two children, and two golden retrievers, Sarah prioritizes family time. She pursues personal interests such as supporting the Astros and Aggie sports teams, spending time outdoors, and maintaining an active lifestyle through exercise.

Katie Connor, Physician Assistant

Originally from Nashville, Katie now calls Houston home, drawn to the city's vibrant culture and diverse food scene. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Tennessee and graduated summa cum laude from Lincoln Memorial University School of Medical Science with a Master's of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies.

With a background in emergency medicine, Katie's passion lies in the care and management of vascular diseases, specializing in venous disease, peripheral arterial disease, and hemorrhoid artery embolization. She takes pride in building lasting relationships with her patients.

Residing in central Houston, Katie enjoys immersing herself in city life, discovering new culinary delights at local eateries, and staying active with friends.

Carrie Pottmeyer, Physician Assistant

Meet Carrie, a Houston native whose pathway to becoming a physician assistant is as unique as it is inspiring. 

Carrie's educational journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University, laying the foundation for her career in the medical field.

For six years, Carrie honed her skills as a field clinical specialist in Abbott’s cardiac rhythm management and ablation divisions in the Dallas area. Driven to deepen her medical knowledge and take on greater patient care responsibilities, she pursued further education at Baylor College of Medicine, earning her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.

Now, Carrie brings her wealth of experience to Texas Hemorrhoid Institute, specializing in Neuro/Spine Interventional Radiology. Her focus lies in treating hemorrhoids and vascular diseases.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Carrie leads a vibrant life. You'll often find her at Pure Barre, engrossed in her latest read and sharing her thoughts on Goodreads, planning exciting travel adventures, enjoying meals at her favorite restaurants with friends, and cherishing moments with her family.

Carrie's dedication to healthcare excellence and her zest for life make her a valuable asset to her patients and the community.

Jennifer Triplett, Physician Assistant

Jennifer is a native of Rochester, New York however she followed her heart to the Sunshine State where she attended Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida. While there she conducted research in a neuropharmacology lab and earned a Master’s in Cellular Biology.

Furthering her passion for science and healthcare, Jennifer accomplished a Master’s of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

Jennifer has a background in Internal Medicine and Oncology however she is passionate about improving the quality of patient’s lives through the application of innovative science and technology in the management of venous disease, arterial disease, and uterine fibroids.

When Jennifer’s not working, some of her favorite activities include going to outdoor adventure parks, swimming, reading, and spending lots of time with family and friends.

Christa Duarte, Family Nurse Practitioner

Christa Duarte holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health from Texas A&M University and furthered her education with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center.

With a diverse background, Christa has served as a Nurse Practitioner in both Allergy and ENT settings, as well as urgent care. Prior to this, she worked as a registered nurse at Houston Methodist Hospital, specializing in the OB/GYN field. Christa's professional passion centers around patient care, driven by her desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those she serves.

Outside of her professional life, Christa finds happiness in the company of her husband and two beloved dogs. She relishes exploring new culinary experiences at local restaurants, staying active with her Peloton, and passionately cheering on her favorite teams, the Fightin' Texas Aggies and the Houston Astros.

Molly DiMola, Family Nurse Practitioner

Molly’s journey began amidst the vibrant cultural tapestry of the North Carolina foothills, where she was born and raised. Today, she proudly calls Houston her home, where she shares her skills and expertise with her local community.

In 2012, Molly graduated from the University of North Carolina with a bachelor's degree in Public Health. She continued her academic pursuits at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., earning both her BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) and FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner) degrees with summa cum laude honors.

Following her studies at George Washington University, Molly embarked on a fulfilling career as an emergency room Registered Nurse and travel nurse, accumulating five years of valuable experience. Her journey took her to Africa, where she conducted research on HIV/AIDS as part of a public health study, and to Orange County, CA, where she contributed to outbreak mitigation efforts.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Molly finds joy in exploring the vibrant city of Houston, indulging her passion for travel, hitting the pavement for a run, whipping up delicious treats in the kitchen, or pushing her limits at her local CrossFit gym, always striving for a new personal best.

Molly's dedication to her work and her zest for life make her a valued member of the healthcare community and the Houston community.

Diana Garcia, Family Nurse Practitioner

Meet Diana Garcia, a Houston native and dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner. Diana's educational journey led her to obtain her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Nursing from Texas A&M University, specializing in Family Nurse Practitioner studies.

With a wealth of experience in primary care, women's health, and managing acute and chronic diseases, including vascular conditions, Diana brings a comprehensive skill set to her practice. 

Additionally, she holds certification in neonatal intensive care nursing (RNC-NIC). She has spent seven years honing her expertise in neonatal nursing at esteemed institutions such as Houston Methodist and The Woman's Hospital of Texas.

Diana enjoys a fulfilling life with her husband near the West Bay of Galveston when she’s not providing exceptional patient care. She finds joy in volunteering for her church and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in her free time. Diana also indulges in hobbies such as reading, practicing yoga, and venturing outdoors for hunting and fishing adventures with her husband and beloved dogs.

Diana's commitment to healthcare excellence and her vibrant spirit make her a valued member of the Houston community.


Megan Huckabay, Family Nurse Practitioner

Megan is a Texan Native and is proud to call Dallas home. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University. Afterward, she continued furthering her education and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Woman’s University with a specialization in Family Nurse Practitioner.

Megan has a background working in pediatrics, vascular, and general surgery. She has a passion for helping underserved populations and providing compassionate care.

During her free time, Megan enjoys staying active, exploring DFW, being involved in her church groups, and spending time with family and friends.
